The fur that grows over the pads is why they skate on hard floors. The P1 takes it back — quietly, with the gap lit.

The thing nobody tells you

It was never
the floor.

A dog grips with the pads. Fur grows out of the gaps between them and keeps growing until it sits between the pad and the floor like felt under a chair leg.

On grass and carpet you would never know. On hardwood, tile and laminate, the dog is skating — and it reads as clumsiness, or as age.

one gap.

1

18 mm ceramic head

Wide enough to clear a pad gap in one pass, rounded so it cannot dig in.

2

LED gap light

The underside of a paw is the worst-lit surface in the house. Not any more.

3

35 dB class motor

Low noise, low vibration — almost nothing for a nervous dog to react to.

4

Washable body

Rinse the head under the tap when you are done. Nothing comes apart.

5

USB-C, cordless

Charges on any cable in the house, and runs while it is charging.

Two minutes

Traction, restored.

You are not grooming the dog. You are removing the overhang that stops the pads touching the floor — and stopping there.

Step 01

Sit them down

Floor beats table. Lift a foot, turn the pads toward you, let the dog hear the motor once before it touches them.

Step 02

Light the gap

The LED shows exactly how far the fur has grown past the pads. That overhang is the whole job.

Step 03

Flat, not angled

Head flat against the paw, drawn across the gaps. Flat means the blade cannot reach skin.

Step 04

Rinse and done

Level with the pads, never below. Rinse the head, dry it, back in the drawer for a month.

Owners

Steadier dogs,
quieter trims.

"He has never let a clipper near him. He let this one happen. Three feet the first night, the fourth the next day."
